🧠BUZZING BRAIN GAME
Happy dog tasty treat treasure hunt.

A fun & engaging way to keep your dog entertained. The Tasty Treat Treasure Hunt is a fantastic game that taps into your dog’s natural scenting skills while providing both mental & physical stimulation. It’s easy to set up & can turn treat time into a rewarding adventure.

Here’s how to get started.

Setup

You’ll need:

  • Dog treats or kibble

  • A quiet space in your home or yard

Steps to Play the Game:

  1. Initial setup: For the first couple of times, have your dog sit & wait or be restrained on a leash while you hide the treats around the room. Let them watch as you hide the treats to build excitement.

  2. Release your dog: Once you’ve hidden the treats, release your dog from their sit or leash. When they target a treat, use a cue like “yes” or a clicker to indicate they are correct, followed by giving them the treat.

  3. Guide if necessary: If your dog seems unsure about what to do, gently lead or direct them to where the treat is hidden to help them understand the game.

  4. Increase the challenge: Once your dog reliably understands the game, start making it more challenging by having them stay in another room while you hide the treats.

  5. Hide in tougher spots: As they improve, begin hiding treats in more challenging locations, such as under rugs or inside objects like paper cups, to encourage them to use their nose.

The Treat Treasure Hunt is not only a fun way to engage your dog’s mind but also helps reduce boredom & anxiety, & strengthen your bond. So gather some treats, prepare for the hunt, & enjoy watching your pup uncover their tasty treasures!

What You’ll Need

  • Muffin tin: An old muffin tin you no longer use works perfectly.

  • Tennis balls: Grab a few tennis balls, they’ll be the key to hiding the treats.

  • Dog treats: Use your dog’s favorite treats, whether they’re small biscuits or soft chews.

Setting Up & Playing the Game:

  1. Preparation: Take the muffin tin & place it on the floor where your dog can easily access it.

  4. Encourage your dog: Show your pup the setup & encourage them to start searching. You can say something like, “Find it!” to get them excited.

  5. Let them work: Watch as your dog figures out how to remove the tennis balls to get to their tasty rewards!
