😏OK..NOW WHAT? (your Q & A)
If you make your dog jealous, this can happen

It’s always a good thing to balance the puppy love❤

If you notice your dog acting a bit off when you give attention to another pet or person, it might be jealousy rearing its head.

Just like us, dogs can feel left out & respond in ways that can be a little concerning. Here are nine signs that your pup might be feeling jealous, along with some helpful tips on what to do about it.

  1. Aggression: Your dog may start nipping or growling at you or others when they feel ignored.

  2. Bathroom Issues: If your pup suddenly starts going to the bathroom in the house, it could be their way of expressing frustration.

  3. Clinginess: A jealous dog might become extra affectionate, wanting to cuddle or get close to you more than usual.

  4. Pushy Behavior: If your dog is constantly nudging or blocking others, it’s a sign they want your attention.

  5. Fighting with Other Pets: Jealousy can lead to scuffles if your pets are competing for your love.

  6. Scaring Strangers: Your dog may bark or act aggressively towards visitors if they're feeling protective of your attention.

  7. Performing Tricks: If your dog starts showing off with tricks, they might be trying to win you over.

  8. Crowding Your Space: Dogs might sit on your lap or knock things off tables to grab your attention.

  9. Withdrawing: Sometimes, a jealous pup might leave the room if they feel upset.

Jealous behaviors often stem from boredom or insecurity, where dogs need more attention & playtime. To help manage this, make sure your pup gets individual time with you & provide plenty of toys & activities to keep them entertained.

If you have more than one pet, when you come home, greet every pet equally & avoid giving all the attention to just one.

Always fostering a happy & calm environment will help prevent jealousy from taking over, keeping your pup feeling loved & secure.

🧠🌿WOOF WELLBEING
Can dogs have panic attacks?

If you've noticed your pup acting stressed or scared, it might be experiencing something more serious than just typical anxiety. Dogs can have panic attacks just like humans.

Panic attacks in dogs can be triggered by various factors, & understanding how to help them is essential for their wellbeing.

  • Signs of Panic: Look for behaviors like shaking, panting, drooling, hiding, or even having accidents in the house. These can indicate your dog is feeling overwhelmed.

  • Triggers: Loud noises, separation anxiety, & past trauma can lead to panic attacks. Even things like unfamiliar smells or sudden changes in routine can set them off.

  • Help is Available: Consulting a vet is crucial to rule out medical issues. They might suggest medication or behavioral training to help your dog cope better.

Keep an eye on their behavior, stick to a routine, & don’t hesitate to seek professional advice if needed. With the right support & a little patience, you can help your pup feel safe & secure again.

🍂Is it bad if your dog eats leaves & what do you do?

Looks cute but all leaves are not equal🤔

Is it bad for dogs to eat leaves? The answer is a bit complicated.

Dogs are curious creatures & often munch on things they find, including leaves. While eating a few leaves isn't usually harmful, it’s important to know why dogs might do this.

Sometimes, dogs eat leaves because they lack fiber in their diet or to help themselves feel better if they have an upset stomach. If you notice your dog frequently snacking on leaves or grass, it might be a sign they need more nutritious food or fiber in their meals.

However, not all leaves are safe for dogs. Some plants can be toxic & might cause serious health issues. For example, chrysanthemums can upset their stomachs, while autumn crocuses can lead to severe problems like gastrointestinal bleeding.

There are also plants like black walnut trees & tomato plants that pose risks.

Even safe leaves can lead to intestinal blockages if consumed in large amounts. It’s essential to keep an eye on what your dog is eating when they're outside to prevent any potential health risks.

To stop your pup from munching on leaves, try to engage them in more activities. Increasing playtime, introducing fun toys, & setting up playdates with other dogs can distract them from snacking on those crunchy leaves.

If you think your dog’s ‘leafy’ eating habits are excessive, or if they show signs of illness, consulting with a vet is a good idea.

Keeping your dog healthy & happy is the priority, so being proactive about any ‘leafy’ eating habits is key.
