😏OK..NOW WHAT? (your Q & A)
How can your dog be affected by your upbringing?

Give the love…Get the love🥰
Can your upbringing affect your dog. A recent study says yes!
The study with a long name 🤔 “Intergenerational Transmission of Human Parenting Styles to Human-Dog Relationships” can be summed up as:
We raise our dogs in a similar way to how we were raised.
Our upbringing & how we raise our dogs plays a big role in shaping our pets' behavior & can influence their health.
There are four types of human parenting, authoritarian, authoritative, permissive & uninvolved/neglectful.
Understanding how our experiences influence our dogs can help us create a happier environment for them. Let’s sniff out some key points that highlight this connection.
Parenting Style Matters: Just like kids, dogs can be affected by the way we raise them. A nurturing approach leads to more confident & well-adjusted dogs.
Socialization is Key: Dogs that are socialized well during their early life tend to be friendlier & less anxious. This shows how important it is to expose them to different people & environments.
Stress Levels Impact Behavior: If we are stressed, our dogs can pick up on that energy, which may lead to anxiety in them. Creating a calm atmosphere helps both us & our pups feel more relaxed.
By being mindful of our parenting style & the environment we create, we can help our pups thrive & enjoy life to the fullest.

What insects are dangerous if dogs eat them.🦋

Keep an eye out for your pooch’s ‘bug sniffing’
It’s easy to think that all bugs are harmless to dogs, as they seem so resilient, but some bugs can actually pose serious risks to dogs if they munch on them.
On the other hand there are bugs safe for dogs to eat. After all, one of the fastest growing areas of good dog nutrition is insect based dog foods.
Understanding which insects to watch out for can help keep your dog safe & healthy. Here’s a quick dig into 11 bugs that can be dangerous for your pup.
Cockroaches. These pests can carry harmful bacteria & parasites, potentially leading to stomach issues & infections.
Ants. Certain types of ants, like fire ants, can deliver painful bites that may cause allergic reactions or infections.
Bees & Wasps. Stings from these insects can lead to swelling, pain, & even serious allergic reactions in some dogs.
Moths. While they may not seem harmful, some moths can carry toxic substances that could make your dog sick if ingested.
Spiders (arachnids). Certain spiders, like dangerous spiders in many countries, have venom that can be very dangerous & require immediate veterinary care.
Grasshoppers. These insects can carry parasites that may lead to gastrointestinal problems in dogs.
Butterflies. While they look beautiful, some butterflies are toxic & can cause nausea or digestive upset if eaten.
Centipedes. Their bite can be painful & lead to swelling, creating discomfort for your dog.
Fleas. Not only are they annoying, but fleas can transmit tapeworms & other diseases that affect your dog's health.
Ticks. These pests can carry serious diseases like Lyme disease, which can cause long-term health issues for dogs & paralysis ticks can be fatal.
Stink bugs. The substance that makes them stink can make a dog vomit
Being aware of these potentially dangerous bugs is key to keeping your dog safe.
Regularly checking your home & your dog for insects & teaching them what’s safe to eat can help prevent any unwanted health issues.
Preparing ourselves & staying informed helps protect our pups to keep them happy & healthy!
💩How long is OK for dogs to hold their poop?
At some time we’ve all wondered how long our pooch is comfortable holding it’s poop.
It’s an important question for any dog parent, especially when planning trips, long outings or leaving our pup inside.
Here’s a guide to help keep your dog healthy & happy.
Adult Dogs: Most healthy adult dogs can hold their poop for about 8 to 10 hours. However, it's best to take them out every 6 to 8 hours to avoid discomfort.
Puppies: Young puppies have smaller bladders & usually need to go out every 1 to 3 hours, as they are still learning control.
Senior Dogs: Older dogs may have different needs based on their health. They might need more frequent bathroom breaks due to weaker bladders or health issues.
Diet & Hydration: A dog’s diet & how much water they drink can affect how quickly they need to relieve themselves. A well hydrated dog will need to go more often.
Activity Level: Active dogs may need more frequent potty breaks after exercise since physical activity can stimulate their bowels.
Stress & Anxiety: Some dogs might hold it in if they feel anxious or stressed, which can lead to health problems if it happens too often.
Health Issues: If your dog consistently struggles to hold it or has accidents indoors, it’s important to consult a vet as this could indicate a medical issue.
While most dogs can hold their poop for several hours, it’s vital to observe their needs & provide regular opportunities for bathroom breaks.
Dogs thrive on routine & routine helps ensure that your dog stays comfortable & healthy.
