😏OK..NOW WHAT? (your Q & A)

Have you ever noticed how your voice changes when you talk to your dog?
Research reveals that dog parents adapt their communication styles in surprising ways that help their pups understand them better.
The study revealed how people unconsciously alter their speech when interacting with dogs, leading to better comprehension & stronger bonds.
Slower Speech: The study shows that dog parents naturally slow down their speech tempo when talking to dogs. This adjustment allows dogs to process the sounds more effectively & helps them follow commands more easily. (Humans talk at four syllables per second, dogs at two vocalizations per second).
Vocal Variability: Dog parents often change their vocal patterns & pitch based on the context of the interaction. This variability helps convey different emotions & intentions, which makes it easier for dogs to interpret cues from their owners.
Emotional Context: The research emphasizes how emotional expression in speech influences a dog's response. When dog parents express positive emotions through their tone & words, it encourages a more engaged reaction from their pets.
How we say something to our dogs can make a big difference. By using slower speech, varying vocal patterns, & expressing emotions, we enhance communication & strengthen our bond with our pups.

7 surprising reasons dogs roll on their backs.

On their feet or on their backs ..always adorable❤
When it comes to our pets, their quirky behaviors can often leave us scratching our heads (or should I say backs?😏). One such behavior is rolling on their backs & wiggling around, which might seem random but actually has some surprising explanations.
Here are seven reasons why your pup might be doing the back roll dance that you may not have considered.
Itchy Scratchy: If your pooch is rolling around, they might just be trying to relieve an itch or scratch an irritation. Allergies or skin issues can be the culprit, so keep an eye out for excessive scratching.
Trying to Cool Off: Dogs often pant to cool down, but rolling on their backs can help too. Exposing their belly, which is usually less hairy, can provide some relief from the heat.
Greeting You (or Others): When dogs see someone they love, they may roll onto their backs as a friendly gesture, showing trust & inviting some belly rubs.
Wanting Attention: If your dog is rolling over, they might just be asking for some love! They know that we can’t resist giving a good tummy rub.
Being a Secret Agent: In a playful sense, dogs may roll around in scents to mask their own smell, a trait inherited from their hunting ancestors. So, when they tumble in the grass or dirt, it’s all about stealth!
Playing a Trick: Some dogs have learned that lying on their backs can lure us in for playtime. However, if they seem anxious while doing this, it might be best to give them some space.
Obsessive Behavior: In rare cases, constant rolling can be a sign of obsessive-compulsive behavior. If you think this might be happening, it’s a good idea to consult a vet or dog behaviorist.
Understanding these behaviors can help deepen your bond with your pet & ensure they're happy & healthy. Keep an eye out for these signs, & enjoy the playful antics of your pup.🥰
🥘Homemade grain free dog food for mature dogs

Yum!😋
If you’re looking for a healthy & tasty meal for your dog, this homemade grain-free dog food recipe is just the thing. It’s packed with nutrients & is super easy to whip up.
It’s great for older dogs, plus, you’ll know exactly what your pooch is eating!
Ingredients
4 medium carrots, peeled & chopped
2 apples, peeled, cored, & chopped (make sure to remove the seeds!)
¼ cup water
6 eggs
3 pounds ground chicken
6 ounces chicken livers, chopped
3 tablespoons sunflower seed oil
4 cups baby spinach leaves
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a pot, combine the carrots, apples, & water. Bring to a boil, then cover & simmer on low heat until soft (about 10-15 minutes).
While that’s cooking, crack the eggs into a bowl & set them aside. Place the eggshells on a baking sheet & bake in the oven for about 5-7 minutes until they’re dry. Once cooled, crush them up using a mortar & pestle or a coffee grinder.
In a large skillet over medium heat, combine the ground chicken, chicken livers, crushed eggshells, & sunflower oil. Cook until the chicken is browned & crumbly, & the livers are no longer pink (about 5-7 minutes).
Add the spinach to the skillet, cover it, & let it steam for about 5 minutes until it’s soft.
Once the carrots & apples are done, mash them in a bowl with a potato masher & then mix them into the meat mixture until everything is well combined.
