😏OK..NOW WHAT? (your Q & A)
Do dogs think in their own language?

The hours we spend pondering those wonderful dog minds❤

So you’re pondering the inner workings of your pooches mind?

Let’s have a peek inside…

Mixing the senses:

Dogs use both the left & right sides of their brain. They are very skillful at picking up on body language, voice, & inflection, & they combine many of their senses to understand us.

Often, our pups are much more concerned with the manner in which we say something rather than the words we’re speaking.

For example, suppose you’ve ever gotten your pooch riled up by excitedly saying unfamiliar words. In that case, they don’t need to understand specific speech in order to sense excitement.

Sniffing further into our pups language:

  • How Do Dogs Think: Dogs process information through individual words & symbols, much like a visual language of sorts.

  • Understanding Different Languages: Just like us, dogs can pick up & respond to commands in various languages based on their experience with them.

  • Speech Recognition: Our pups are more in tune with our emotions & tones rather than the specific words we use when communicating with them.

  • Evolutionary Connection: From their ancient wolf ancestors, dogs have evolved to become close members of our families with remarkable emotional intelligence they use to understand us.

We know that dogs can retain lots of command words in their brains.

However, when, in an experiment, these words were replaced with similar-sounding nonsensical terms, dogs had trouble deciphering the difference.

That is because the nonsensical words used sounded extremely similar to terms they were familiar with. The dogs brain didn’t show much difference between words based on language or lack thereof.

So,when you engage with your pup, know that they're tuning into more than just words & that exploring the unique ways your pooch perceives the world helps you strengthen your bond with them

Your pup is reading your emotions & feeling your vibes, connecting with you on a deeper level.

🧠🌿WOOF WELLBEING
Decoding the pooch head tilt.

More that just adorable, that head tilt has meaning.

🌟So, why do our pooches tilt their heads in that adorable way?

First off, when your dog tilts their head, they might be trying to see your facial expressions better?

Research suggests that dogs tilt their heads to get a clearer view of our emotions by focusing on the lower part of our faces.

This cute head tilt could be their way of understanding us on a deeper level.

Dogs also tilt their heads to hear better.

By adjusting their ears' position, they optimize their hearing ability, making it easier for them to pick up sounds & determine their source.

That charming head tilt might just be your pup’s way of tuning into your words more clearly showing that they are trying to understand & they are listening.

Some dog experts believe our pooches do the head tilt because we encourage it, reacting to positive reinforcement we give them to keep it up (but it’s so cute🤭)

What ever the reason, we love it!❤
