😏OK..NOW WHAT? (your Q & A)
What happens in my dogs brain when I speak?

Our doggo’s, always the best listeners💗
So what goes through your dog’s mind when you have a chat with them?
A recent study looked into this, revealing that dogs brains process human & dog voices differently suggesting they have evolved to recognize our voices from their own.
Researchers found that when you engage in conversations with your pooch, specific areas of their brain become active, & the electrical impulses in their brains show they process human sounds different to others.
It's like a light bulb moment! Your words trigger responses in your dog's brain & the time frame to their responses shows that they are not just hearing sounds but truly processing the meaning behind your words.
So, those head tilts, wagging tails, & soulful gazes , they're all signs that your pup is attentively listening & trying to make sense of what you're saying…(as if we needed more convincing that they’re our best friends🥰)
Previous research has found that dogs can match human voices with expressions. When played an audio clip of a lady laughing, for example, they’ll often look at a photo of a smiling woman.
Next time you have a heart-to-heart with your pooch, know that your words hold a special place in their world.
Your communication isn't just background noise; it's a meaningful connection that strengthens the bond between you & your dog.
So, keep chattin’ & enjoy the unique way in which your words resonate with your pup.

🧠🌿WOOF WELLBEING
These are dogs favorite scents according to science.🐶

Ahh yes…that reminds me of meandering bushwalks by the sea.🙂
🌟Have you ever wondered what scents dogs absolutely adore?
A recent study revealed that our dogs have a real liking for scents like lavender, blueberry, blackberry, peppermint, & rose.
Not only do these smells make them wag their tails with joy, but they can also have some positive effects on their wellbeing.
Lavender, in particular, has been shown to lower heart rates in dogs & increase their relaxation levels, just like a mini spa day!
It's fascinating that dogs can be so particular about what they like to sniff!
It was found that when given a choice, dogs consistently showed a strong preference for food-related scents (no surprises there😏).
Beyond just enjoying pleasant smells, these scents play a significant role in our pups' lives. Scent enrichment is being used in shelters to help calm anxious dogs & create a more comfortable environment for them.
In pampering or calming your pooch, consider introducing them to some delightful scents to uplift their spirits & create a cozy atmosphere.
However be aware. As much as we love to treat our dogs with lovely scents, it's crucial to be cautious about the type of oils we use around them.
While scents like lavender are generally safe for dogs, some essential oils can be harmful & even toxic to our pups. Make sure to check the safety guidelines.
Enjoy embarking on your scent exploration journey for a happy & healthy pup!
🌍Why dogs roll in grass? Here’s the top 10 reasons🐾

Let the good times roll!😀
So why do our pups enjoy rolling in the grass so much?
Here are the top 10 reasons why dogs indulge in this grassy pastime:
Masking Their Scent: Dogs have an instinct to mask their scent, just like their ancestors did for hunting.
Marking Their Territory: Rolling in grass helps dogs leave their mark & claim their territory.
It Feels Good: Your pooch might simply enjoy the sensation of rolling on a soft patch of grass.
Expressing Their Personality: Some dogs use grass rolling as a way to express their unique character.
Getting Rid of Objects From Their Fur: Grass can help dogs brush off loose fur clumps & something that is stuck to their fur or irritating them.
Brushing Off Loose Fur Clumps: The abrasive nature of grass blades can act like a brush for your shedding dog.
Allergies: Rolling in grass could indicate allergies, especially if your dog starts scratching more frequently.
Getting Rid of Unwanted Smells: Dogs may roll in grass to mask or eliminate other odors they find unpleasant.
Obsessive Behavior: In some cases, excessive grass rolling can be a sign of compulsive behavior that needs redirection.
Bugs: Rolling to rid themselves of insects that may have crawled into their fur & are irritating or even biting their skin.
So, rolling in the grass is mostly enjoyment for your pooch but know that there may be more to it. Always keep an eye out for any signs of discomfort or obsessive behavior.
…& on the enjoyment side, (theirs not ours!), watch out for the popular ‘poop roll’ (what we call the ‘poobacker’💩🙄).
🤔PAWSE TO REMEMBER
Mind the blinds. Keep blinds & curtain cords out of reach. They can look like a toy to dogs & can cause dangerous entanglement accidents.

🧐FACT or FLUFF??...Answer. FLUFF
Not all dogs are natural swimmers. While many dogs can swim, some struggle or fear water.
