My dog is doin non-stop butt puffs 🐕💨?

Like us hoomans, canine flatulence is due to gas gathering in the intestinal tract & colon. An occasional furry butt puff is perfectly normal.

Excessive gas is usually linked to your pooches diet. It may not be from the quality of ingredients (although poor quality or food gone bad could make it worse), but it’s more likely due to food intolerance.

With intolerance your dogs body can’t cope with an ingredient & absorb it as it should. Your pooch will also probably have sloppier poop.

If you think your dog has food intolerance, or gas that has become excessive, speak to your vet as soon as possible.

Vets will often recommend a process of removing & then reintroducing some ingredients in your dogs diet to find the cause. They may also advise you on specially made foods that can help.

Your vet will also check for other possible causes.

Some tips if you want to ease everyday doggo butt puffs:

• If eating too quickly and gulping air try a slow feeder bowl or snuffle mat.

• If diet is an issue try ‘light and white’ ingredients like lighter forms of protein such as chicken & white carbohydrates like rice…& cut down on the treats.

• Don’t assume hypoallergenic foods will work for all dogs as they can still be intolerant to some of the ingredients.

• Just buying supplements is not recommended. It’s better to get a checkup from your vet to then find & treat the cause of the problem.

All you need is Love. A survey by preply US has revealed the average dog knows 18 human words which extend beyond basic commands like “sit”, “stay”, “treat”. with the top word dogs know being “love”.

The word “happy” also made this list, suggesting that dogs recognize not only household items and activities but also terms associated with affection and emotions🥰.

They’re nasty! How to remove a tick.

• Using fine tweezers grasp the tick firmly as close as possible to skin and pull the tick straight out with head intact. Do not twist or turn.

• Dispose of the tick straight away and clean & disinfect area.

• Monitor your pooch for ticks for a few days in case any were missed. If your dog shows any strange symptoms seek vet advice immediately.

Sit, stay, paint a modern abstract oil painting..Good girl. Sounds easy enough..not, but it is for Ivy the Australian Shepherd. Ivy is an accomplished dog artist, whose original paintings raise thousands of dollars for charity and spread joy to millions.

When it came to learning, clever Ivy moved from basic tricks to retrieving drinks, sorting socks, turning lights on and off, putting coins in a bank and even wiping her own feet before coming inside…and then painting.
